The 3rd generation of the crossover was unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show. Two variants are available: 5-seat Sport, 2.4 litre and 2.0 litre turbocharged engines and 7-seat Santa Fe with increased wheelbase (replacing the ix55), 3.3 litre engine. The cars went on sale by the middle of 2012.
