In 2011, Citroen's DS line was expanded with the addition of the new DS4 and DS5 models. The front-wheel drive vehicle uses the same platform as the Citroen C4 Picasso with a 2727mm wheelbase for increased roominess. The prototype of the car was the concept car C-SportLounge (2005), from which the DS5 inherited the basic design decisions that made it unlike any other car, including its DS counterparts.
