Fuses and relays BMW X3 (F25, 2010 - 2017)

The second-generation X3 retains the styling philosophy of its predecessor, though the crossover grew slightly in size, adding 12 mm of ground clearance and extending the wheelbase by 15 mm. In 2014, the vehicle underwent a mid-cycle facelift. In this article, we provide a detailed overview of the fuse box diagrams for the BMW X3 (F25, 2nd generation) produced from 2010 through 2017 model years.


Here you will find power distribution box locations and reference photos. The fuses assigned to the “cigarette lighter” (12 V power sockets) are highlighted in bold.

In the engine compartment

The power distribution box is located on the left side of the engine compartment.



Several relay modules are located here, including those for trailer towing equipment. The general layout is shown above.

In the passenger compartment

The power distribution box is located behind the glove box.


To access the panel, it is recommended to remove the glove box after removing the retaining screws located at the bottom and front.

Fuses #1, 54, 65, 143, 144, 171, and 176 supply power to the cigarette lighter / 12 V sockets. Note that several of these fuses are located in the luggage compartment.

Location of the fuse box in the luggage compartment
The power distribution box is located on the right side of the luggage compartment behind the side trim panel.
