The second-generation GMC Acadia debuted in Detroit in 2016. Produced at GM's Spring Hill, Tennessee assembly plant starting with the 2017 model year, it was marketed primarily in North America. Engine options included a naturally aspirated 2.5 L inline-four (197 hp) and a naturally aspirated 3.6 L V6 (310 hp), both mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
