Fuses and relays Hyundai Sonata 4 (EF), 1998 - 2004

The Hyundai Sonata sedan has been produced from 1985 to the present in eight generations. The 4 generation was released in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.  In our article you will find a description of fuses and relays with block diagrams, photo examples of performance and locations. Check the assignment of the blocks with your diagrams on the back of the protective cover. 

In the passenger compartment

It is located at the bottom of the dashboard. The protective cover must be removed for access.

A 15A C / LIGHTER fuse is responsible for the cigarette lighter.

Some relays are attached to the back of the unit.

  • A - power connector
  • B - connector of the electronic control unit for the ETACS system
  • С - relay No. 1 of door locks blocking
  • D - relay No. 2 for blocking door locks
  • E - field winding resistor
  • F - relay of rear marker lamps
  • G - window motor relay
  • H - relay for rear window heater and side mirror heaters.

In the engine compartment

Fuse box located next to the battery under the protective cover.
