The Optima sedan (also known as the K5) is a mid-size car produced by Kia Motors since 2000. In this guide, we provide detailed fuse and relay box diagrams for the fifth-generation Kia Optima / K5 (DL3 chassis code) for model years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Below you will find power distribution box locations, photos, and pinouts. Fuses for the “Cigarette Lighter” and “Fuel Pump” are highlighted in bold.
In the Engine Compartment
The main fuse box is located on the right side of the engine compartment beneath a protective cover. Fuse layout and assignment may vary depending on the installed engine configuration.

In the Passenger Compartment
The interior fuse box is located behind an access panel on the driver's side of the instrument panel.
Pry off the access cover to gain entry to the fuse panel.
