The Optima 4 (K5) had its world premiere at the New York Auto Show in April 2015. The European version of the sedan was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. In this article, we will take a detailed look at the fuse box diagrams for the Kia Optima / K5 (fourth generation; JF index) 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 years of manufacture.
Here you will find the locations and photos of distribution boxes. The fuses responsible for the “Cigarette lighter” and “Fuel Pump” are highlighted in bold.
In the engine compartment
Depending on the equipment, there may be one or two fuse boxes in the engine compartment.
Main fuse box
It is located on the left side of the engine compartment behind the protective cover.

Additional distribution box
Installed on cars with diesel engines.
Description:
- 80A - heating relay block (glow plugs);
- 40A - fuel filter heating relay;
- PTC HEATER - auxiliary heater.
Main fuse
Located on the positive terminal of the battery.
It is designed as a 180A fuse link (ALT).
In the passenger compartment
The fuse box is located under the instrument panel on the driver's side. To access it, open the protective cover. Depending on the model year and body, there are several versions of this fuse box.
