The second-generation Lexus IS (XE20) was produced from 2005 to 2013, receiving two major mid-cycle updates over its production run. Compared to its predecessor—which shared its platform with the Toyota Altezza sports sedan—the XE20 generation was noticeably larger, more substantial, and fully aligned with Lexus premium luxury standards. A 2008 refresh brought subtle exterior and interior styling tweaks alongside revised suspension tuning.
