The mid-size crossover from Czech automaker Škoda is named Kodiaq, after the Kodiak brown bear. Built on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform (shared with the Volkswagen Tiguan), the vehicle shares much of its underlying electrical architecture with its sibling models.
