This article provides a detailed overview of fuse box diagrams for the Volkswagen Taos (First Generation, chassis code CP; MQB A1 platform) for model years 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Fuses 16, 40, and 46 in the passenger compartment fuse box protect the electrical circuits for the USB charging ports and the 12 V / cigarette lighter socket.
Engine Compartment Fuse Box
The fuse and relay box is located on the left side of the engine compartment. Remove the protective cover to access it.

The auxiliary heater relay is located in the central area of the engine compartment, near the base of the windshield.
Passenger Compartment Fuse Box
The fuse panel is located on the left side of the instrument panel. On left-hand drive (LHD) vehicles, it is behind the dashboard trim cover; on right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles, it is behind the glove box / storage compartment.
