The second-generation BMW X1 made its debut in September 2015 in Frankfurt and Tokyo. Unlike the previous generation, it was equipped with front-wheel drive (sDrive). In May 2019, a refreshed LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) variant was unveiled, followed by the plug-in hybrid xDrive25e model in September 2019. This guide provides detailed fuse box diagrams and location charts for the second-generation BMW X1 (F48/F49 chassis codes; models sDrive18i, sDrive20i, xDrive20i, xDrive25i, xDrive28i, xDrive25e Hybrid, sDrive16d, sDrive18d, sDrive20d, and xDrive25d) across the 2015–2022 model years.
Below you will find the location diagrams and photos of the power distribution boxes. Fuses responsible for the “Cigarette Lighter” and “Fuel Pump” are highlighted in bold.
In the Engine Compartment
Three fuse boxes are located here to protect the vehicle’s electrical circuits.
Integrated Power Module
This is a non-serviceable module with integrated fuses and relays. If any internal component fails, the complete module must be replaced.
