Ford unveiled the sixth-generation Explorer at the North American International Auto Show in January 2019. The model was also offered in the European market between 2019 and 2023, where it was sold exclusively with a hybrid powertrain. This guide provides detailed fuse box diagrams for the sixth-generation Ford Explorer (chassis code U625; CD6 platform) covering the 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 model years.
Below, you will find the locations and diagrams of the power distribution boxes. Fuses associated with the “Cigarette lighter” and “Fuel pump” are highlighted in bold.
Engine Compartment
The power distribution box is located on the left side of the engine compartment.
To access the fuse box, remove the protective trim and the plastic cover.

The fuse panel is located under the instrument panel on the driver's side.

The 2025 Explorer does not have this type of fuse box inside the cab. The fuse box is in the glove box.
