The second-generation Lexus RX (XU30 series) maintains a family resemblance to its predecessor while adopting a more dynamic design and distinct styling enhancements, such as a sharper front fascia, a re-angled C-pillar, and a prominent rear spoiler. The new-generation RX is 16 cm longer and 3.5 cm wider, with the wheelbase extended from 2,619 mm to 2,715 mm, providing a more spacious interior. In 2006, the RX 350 replaced the RX 330, introducing a 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers over 47 hp more than the 3.3-liter engine in the outgoing model. Cabin comfort was further improved through enhanced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) insulation materials and an upgraded transmission. A mid-cycle refresh in 2008 added a redesigned front grille, chrome exterior door handles, and new 18-inch alloy wheels.
