The CLA-Class Coupé debuted in January 2013. Visually, it resembles a scaled-down CLS, a similarity most noticeable in the rear bodywork and door profile. However, from the front, the styling of the two models diverges significantly. Their underlying platforms also differ: the larger CLS is based on the E-Class, whereas the compact CLA shares its platform with the A-Class hatchback. In this article, we take a detailed look at the fuse box diagrams for the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class C117 / X117 (1st Generation: CLA180, CLA200, CLA220, CLA250, CLA45 AMG) covering model years 2013 through 2020.
Below you will find fuse box locations, photos, and assignment diagrams. Fuses for the “Cigarette Lighter” and “Fuel Pump” are highlighted in bold.
In the Engine Compartment
The fuse box is located on the right (passenger) side of the engine compartment.
To access the fuses, release the two retaining latches and remove the protective cover.

In the Passenger Compartment
Located in the front passenger footwell, under the dashboard.
To access the passenger compartment fuse box:
1. Remove the floor mat.
2. Push cover trim (1) in the direction of the arrow.
3. Squeeze catch (2) and pull cover (3) upward in the direction of the arrow until it reaches the stop.
4. Pull cover (3) forward to remove it.
