In 2008, the outdated compact van Xsara Picasso was replaced by a new model C3 Picasso, which is characterized by smaller dimensions and belongs to a lower class of subcompact van (Mini MPV). The novelty was first shown in Paris under the name Drooneel. Just like the usual C3, the new MPV is built on the PSA PF1 platform. Sales of the model in Russia began in spring 2009.
