The release of the second generation Citroen C4 Picasso began in 2013, which was preceded by the premiere of the concept car Citroen Technospace, which became the prototype of the new minivan, which took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March of the same year. The car received a new modular platform EMP2 from PSA Peugeot Citroen with a wheelbase increased to 2785 mm (2728 mm from its predecessor).
