In 2011, Citroen's DS range was expanded with the introduction of new models - DS4 and DS5. The front-wheel drive car uses the same platform, on which Citroen C4 Picasso is created with a wheelbase of 2727 mm, which provided increased capacity. The prototype of the car was a concept car C-SportLounge (2005), from which DS5 inherited the main design solutions.
