The premiere of the crossover, created on the platform of the 208 hatchback, took place at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. The appearance of the novelty was preceded by the Peugeot HR1 concept car, shown back in 2010. It was distinguished by its very compact marker lamps - no more than 3.7 m in length - and had three doors. The production model received a five-door body that best meets the requirements of the urban crossover class. Peugeot 2008 has only front-wheel drive, but it is equipped with the Grip Control system, which is a software setting of the ESP system and improves cross-country ability when driving on ice, snow, mud and sand.
