The Volkswagen Golf Plus is a subcompact MPV built on the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 platform. It was produced from 2005 through 2009. The model underwent a facelift in 2009 (often referred to as a generational shift) and was manufactured from 2010 to 2014. This facelift included minor updates to the vehicle's electrical system. This manual provides fuse box and relay panel diagrams, locations, and photo examples for the Golf Plus (chassis codes 5M, 52; A5 (PQ35) platform). The fuse for the “cigarette lighter” is highlighted in bold.
Passenger Compartment
Fuse Box
Located behind the drop-down glove compartment on the driver's side.
The main relay carrier is located directly above the fuse box. On some models, it is mounted directly to the fuse panel housing. The thermal circuit breaker for the power driver seat adjustment may also be located here: 1 – 20 A.
Two distinct fuse box configurations were used. While visually similar, they differ in total slot count (58 vs. 60 positions). The actual numbering is stamped directly onto the fuse panel housing.

Engine Compartment
Located adjacent to the battery under a protective cover. The unit houses two distinct sections: standard blade fuses and high-current fusible links.
