The second generation of the S40 sedan made its European debut in late 2003 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model is built on the P1 platform, which is nothing but the global C1 platform developed by Ford's European center (on the same platform Focus II and Mazda3 were created in 2003). Here you will find the locations and photos of the mounting blocks. Also, we will separately mark the fuses responsible for the cigarette lighter and the fuel pump.
In the passenger compartment
Located at the bottom of the dashboard under the passenger glove box.
1. Remove the trim by first sinking the pins in the retaining pistons and then pulling them out.
2. Remove the two screws holding the unit in place.
3. Pull the fuse box halfway toward you.

It is located in the left part of the under-hood space. To access it, pull the protective cover upwards by releasing the clips.
